We are delighted to announce that we have achieved platinum rating for the second year from EcoVadis in our 2023 sustainability assessment, maintaining our 2022 status, and retaining our position among the top 1% of more than 100,000 companies rated worldwide by EcoVadis.
EcoVadis is the leading collaborative platform for sharing sustainability data between businesses and the world’s most trusted provider for assessing corporate performance in the field of sustainable development.
The assessment itself covers four pillars: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. To receive the very highest rating of Platinum, companies need to score above 78% overall across all pillars. We achieved a score of 82% in our overall assessment, including 90% on the Environmental pillar, improving on our 2022 score, with additional sustainability reporting, advanced sustainability management system and new sustainability certification being positively highlighted.
We are leaders in our sector of providing sustainable branded merchandise solutions, and this award and recognition reaffirms that we are leading the way with our environmental and social goals.
Procurement Director, Steve Wickham comments “We are thrilled to receive a Platinum rating from EcoVadis and an improved score of 82% in this year’s assessment. The result demonstrates our position as a leader in sustainability in our industry and how we are implementing our strategy and moving our sustainability journey from pledge to genuine progress. It’s also a reflection of our ongoing commitment to continual improvement and to minimising our environmental footprint as a business.
We are especially pleased to achieve a score of 90% on the Environmental pillar as this highlights the dedication of our suppliers, customers, and internal teams to encourage responsible consumption and support positive climate action.”
“This recognition and our huge Environmental score increase, reinforces to our customers and partners that creating value to society is at the heart of our business. We will continue our efforts through our corporate Sustainability Pledge across our internal business and entire global supply chain” added Vicky Kinasz, Managing Director of Geiger International.
